Winners of the DAAD Prize

Each year, an international degree-seeking student at the University of Mannheim is awarded the DAAD Prize, worth EUR 1,000. Click on the pictures to learn more about the award winners.

At the age of just 18, she moved to Germany to study: Aitana Orrego Martínez comes from Lima, the capital of Peru, and pursued a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics at the University of Mannheim.

During her time as a student, she discovered her passion for international development cooperation, earning her the DAAD Prize of the Year 2024, among other things.
